My Curiosity; A Staged Reading

“My Curiosity” is a musical celebration of imagination, perseverance, and invention in the life of Thomas Alva Edison whose extraordinary gifts transformed our world. His insatiable curiosity, tireless nature, and singular view of the word “failure” fortified him against the challenges and setbacks that would typically defeat others. His boundless energy, and steadfast belief that persistence is the precursor to success, propelled him forward from one great invention to the next.A major challenge to the “Wizard of Menlo Park” was found in his personal life… in his role as husband and father. Greatness is not often achieved without sacrifice and few manage to avoid some measure of pain in their efforts toward it. Thomas Edison was no exception. Our story follows the young Mr. Edison through his public triumphs while acknowledging the great inventor’s private struggles. This is a part of LSPAC’s Arts and Education series. We promote local writers, songs and shows that are educational in content and filled with talented performers, toe tapping songs that can inspire creativity! John Pesanello, writer and director, has been working on this piece for over a year. It has received commendations from Maryland state arts council. He is furthering it for main stage performance.
